Pokémon Shining Fates
Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Shining Fates (swsh4.5) is a special expansion in the Sword & Shield series, released on 19 February 2021. The set shines a spotlight on over 100 Shiny Pokémon rendered on beautifully etched holofoil cards, with the spectacular Shiny Charizard VMAX in its Gigantamax form as the undisputed centrepiece. Collectors prize this set for its enormous Shiny Vault subset—a spiritual successor to the beloved Hidden Fates—making sealed product highly sought after long after release.
Which Pokémon cards are in Shining Fates?
Shining Fates contains 195 cards in total, including a 122-card Shiny Vault subset packed with Shiny Pokémon V and Shiny Pokémon VMAX in dazzling alternate holofoil treatments. The undisputed chase card is Shiny Charizard VMAX (SV107/SV122), but collectors also hunt for Shiny Crobat VMAX, Shiny Dragapult VMAX, Shiny Ditto VMAX, and Shiny Eevee VMAX. Beyond the Shiny Vault, the set features over 30 Pokémon V and VMAX and a selection of rare full-art Supporter cards—including Skyla, Rose, Ball Guy, and Piers—that add further chase value to every booster.
