Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes is the third expansion of the Mega Evolution series, released on 30 January 2026. The set spotlights a sweeping roster of Mega Evolution Pokémon ex—headlined by the long-awaited debut of Mega Dragonite ex—alongside returning fan favourites Mega Gardevoir ex, Mega Lucario ex, and the newly Mega-Evolved Johto starters Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, and Mega Feraligatr ex. With 295 cards it is the largest English Pokémon TCG expansion ever printed, and collectors chase it for its brand-new Mega Attack Rare rarity, god packs, and an extraordinary haul of Special Illustration Rares.
Which Pokémon cards are in Ascended Heroes?
Ascended Heroes contains 13 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, a full wave of standard Pokémon ex, Trainer's Pokémon, and Stellar Tera Pokémon ex. The headline new rarity, Mega Attack Rares, showcases Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in bold pop-art illustrations with Japanese attack names. Beyond that, collectors hunt 22 Special Illustration Rares (featuring Mega Dragonite ex, Mega Gengar ex, Pikachu, and Supporter cards among others), 33 Illustration Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, and gold Hyper Rare treatments—including a dazzling Mega Charizard Y ex gold card. God packs are also confirmed, each containing three Mega Attack Rares and seven Special Illustration Rares.
