Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt (SV10.5) is one half of the first-ever dual split expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series, released on 18 July 2025 and celebrating every Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region. Black Bolt focuses on the legendary Pokémon Zekrom and features Serperior ex, Kyurem ex, Meloetta ex, Excadrill ex, and Genesect ex, making it a must-have for Generation V fans and competitive players alike.

Which Pokémon cards are in Black Bolt?

Black Bolt contains 172 cards and spotlights the Electric-type Legendary Zekrom ex as its centerpiece, alongside fan favourites Serperior ex, Kyurem ex, Meloetta ex, Excadrill ex, and Genesect ex. The set introduces the brand-new BWR (Black White Rare) rarity — a monochromatic full-art treatment with elaborate holofoil patterning — with Zekrom ex earning one of only two BWR slots across the dual release, making it the most coveted pull in the set. Chase collectors also hunt the Special Illustration Rares for Zekrom ex (dynamic lightning artwork), Kyurem ex (frozen-cavern scene by Chibi), Meloetta ex (mid-pirouette by LINNE), Genesect ex (neon-lit laboratory by kantaro), Serperior ex (sun-dappled garden scene), and the Supporter card N's Plan (illustrated by REND). Illustration Rares such as Seismitoad and Haxorus round out the premium pull lineup.
