The set explores a land unbound by time, pitting ancient Pokémon like Roaring Moon ex and Sandy Shocks ex against futuristic counterparts such as Iron Valiant ex and Iron Hands ex — making it one of the most thematically distinct sets in the Scarlet & Violet era. With 266 cards including a staggering 84 secret rares, collectors chase it for its stunning artwork and wide variety of high-rarity pulls.

Paradox Rift introduces the Ancient and Future card subtypes for the first time, featuring marquee ex cards such as Roaring Moon ex, Sandy Shocks ex, Iron Valiant ex, and Iron Hands ex, alongside Tera Pokémon ex like Garchomp ex and Mewtwo ex. The set boasts 15 Special Illustration Rares — including fan-favourites featuring Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant surrounded by their respective Paradox brethren — 34 Illustration Rares, 28 Ultra Rares, and 7 Hyper Rare gold etched cards.
