Pokémon Vivid Voltage
Vivid Voltage (swsh04) is the fourth expansion of the Sword & Shield series, released on 13 November 2020 with Gigantamax Pikachu as its star attraction and the debut of an all-new card type — Amazing Pokémon. Collectors chase this set for the iconic Pikachu VMAX Rainbow Rare, affectionately nicknamed "Chonkachu," which remains one of the most recognisable cards from the entire Sword & Shield era.
Which Pokémon cards are in Vivid Voltage?
Vivid Voltage contains 203 cards and spotlights Pikachu V and Pikachu VMAX alongside other Gigantamax-themed Pokémon such as Coalossal VMAX, Orbeetle VMAX, Aegislash V, and Togekiss VMAX. The set introduces six Amazing Pokémon — Legendary and Mythical Pokémon like Rayquaza, Raikou, Zacian, Zamazenta, Celebi, and Jirachi, illustrated with vivid rainbow foil backgrounds. Secret rares include Rainbow Rares for the VMAX Pokémon and key trainers (Bea, Nessa, Leon, Pokémon Center Lady), plus two coveted Gold cards featuring Pokémon like Obstagoon.
