One Piece Awakening of the New Era
Awakening of the New Era (OP-05) is the fifth main expansion in the One Piece Card Game booster series, released on 8 December 2023, and is headlined by Monkey D. Luffy's Gear 5 form. Six new Leaders join the game — Sabo, Belo Betty, Donquixote Rosinante, Sakazuki, Enel and a purple Gear 5 Monkey D. Luffy — drawing on the Revolutionary Army, the Navy and Skypiea. With two Secret Rares and a trio of manga-art chase cards led by the iconic Gear 5 Luffy, OP-05 remains one of the most collected One Piece boosters for collectors and competitive players alike.
Which cards are in Awakening of the New Era?
The base set runs to 119 numbered cards: 6 Leaders, 45 Commons, 30 Uncommons, 26 Rares, 10 Super Rares and 2 Secret Rares, extended by alternate-art parallels and Special (SP) versions. The Secret Rares are Kaido (OP05-118) and Monkey D. Luffy (OP05-119), and Luffy's manga-art parallel — the first card to show Gear 5 in manga style — has become one of the most sought-after cards in the English game. Two further manga-art rares, Trafalgar Law (OP05-069) and Eustass "Captain" Kid (OP05-074), round out the chase. The card pool spans the game's "new era" storylines, from the Revolutionary Army and the Marines to Skypiea's Enel and the Worst Generation captains.
