One Piece Emperors in the New World
Emperors in the New World (OP-09) is the ninth main expansion in the One Piece Card Game booster series, released in English on 13 December 2024 to mark the game's second English anniversary. The set is built around the new Four Emperors of the Final Saga — Shanks, Marshall D. Teach, Monkey D. Luffy and Buggy — who all receive leader cards, joined by new leaders for Nico Robin and Lim of One Piece Odyssey. Headlined by a manga-art Gol D. Roger that ranks among the most valuable cards in the game, OP-09 is one of the most chase-heavy One Piece releases to date.
Which cards are in Emperors in the New World?
The base set contains 119 cards: 6 Leaders, 45 Commons, 30 Uncommons, 26 Rares, 10 Super Rares and 2 Secret Rares. Ten Special (SP) reprints and a single Treasure Rare take the full print run to 130 card types plus the DON!! card, before counting alternate-art parallels. The two Secret Rares are Gol D. Roger (OP09-118) and Monkey D. Luffy (OP09-119), and chase attention centres on the set's manga-style parallels, with the gold manga Gol D. Roger the premier pull. On the competitive side, the red Shanks leader (OP09-001) proved an immediate force in tournament play.
