Pokémon Base

The Base series launched the Pokémon Trading Card Game in English in January 1999, produced by Wizards of the Coast and centred on the original Kanto region. Beyond the game's first holofoil rares, its draw is the scarce early printings — the 1st Edition stamp and Shadowless border — behind the famous Base Set Charizard, while Team Rocket later added the game's first Dark Pokémon.
